When Direct Cremation is a choice

In the place of funeral service - you can remember your loved one at a Celebration of Life

More than 20% of cremations in the UK are now direct cremations - where there is no formal funeral service. For many people, this a choice as they don't want to cause any fuss after they have passed - for others its a matter of cost. Whatever the reason - its their choice and something to be respected.

However, family and friends may still want to find a way to say their farewells to their loved one and to gain closure after their loss.

A simple solution is to arrange a Celebration of Life. This can be as formal or informal as you want.  A chance for people to come together to remember the person who has passed, to share memories and find comfort in each others company.

A Celebration of Life can be help be held almost anywhere - a village hall, the back room of pub, in a garden in summer - or even in your own home.

A celebrant can help to create a structure for the celebration - bringing together memories, music and readings which reflect the life of the loved one.
